Panjang Gelombang

Definisi

Jarak antara dua titik identik yang berurutan (seperti puncak gelombang) pada gelombang periodik, biasanya diukur dalam meter atau nanometer.

Penjelasan

Visible light spans roughly 380 nm (violet) to 700 nm (red). Radio waves can have wavelengths of hundreds of meters, while X-rays measure in tenths of a nanometer. Wavelength and frequency are inversely related through wave speed: λ = v/f. In fiber optics, 1,550 nm is the standard wavelength for long-distance data transmission.
