解説

Speed is a derived quantity: distance ÷ time = m/s. Force is mass × acceleration = kg·m/s², given the special name newton. Pressure = force ÷ area = kg/(m·s²), given the special name pascal. The SI system currently recognizes 22 derived units with special names, all traceable to the 7 base units through exact mathematical definitions.
