Định nghĩa

Khả năng truyền dữ liệu tối đa của một kênh truyền thông, thường đo bằng bit trên giây (bps, Mbps, Gbps).

Giải thích

Bandwidth represents the theoretical ceiling, not the actual speed achieved in practice. A fiber link may have 1 Gbps bandwidth but deliver less throughput due to protocol overhead and network congestion. The term originates from radio engineering, where it described the range of frequencies a channel could carry. Consumer broadband plans typically offer 100 Mbps to 1 Gbps downstream bandwidth.

Bit là đơn vị thông tin kỹ thuật số nhỏ nhất, biểu thị 0 hoặc 1; byte là nhóm 8 bit, có thể biểu thị 256 giá trị khác nhau.

Tốc độ thực tế mà dữ liệu được truyền thành công qua mạng hoặc hệ thống trong một khoảng thời gian, đo bằng bit hoặc byte trên giây.

Tốc độ xung nhịp

Tần số mà bộ xử lý thực hiện các chu kỳ, đo bằng hertz (Hz), với CPU hiện đại hoạt động trong phạm vi gigahertz (GHz).
